Joseph Lee Hanley, 60, of Jersey Shore, has gone to be with the Lord on May 6, 2012. He was born Jan. 9, 1952, in Lock Haven, Pa. He was the son of Elizabeth Hanley.
He is survived by his wife, Edith (Snyder) Hanley, with whom he was married 28 years; two sons, Jason and Justin, both residing out of the area.
Joe was employed by Lingle's Bi-Lo Grocery Store in Jersey Shore as maintenance personnel for the Tiadaghton Mall.
An avid fisherman, Joe taught many the skill of trout fishing as he enjoyed seeing others catch as many as he was able to. Joe was also the rescuer of stray cats who enjoyed the spoils of his fishing trips.
There will be a graveside service at the Jersey Shore Cemetery at 11 a.m. Thursday with the Rearick-Carpenter Funeral Home making the arrangements. Pastor Stephen M. Coran, Faith Fellowship Worship Center, will be officiating.
