Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Chubb, Williamsport, observed their 50th wedding anniversary May 5, 2012.
They were married by the Rev. Marple Lewis at Berean Baptist Church, Carbondale, where they are members. They also attend First United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Chubb, the former Charlene Mae Williams, is a native of Carbondale. She is the daughter of the late Eleanor and Derwood Williams. She graduated from Benjamin Franklin High School, Carbondale, in 1959. She retired in 2011 from Cobbler's Ladies Shoe Outlet.

Mr. Chubb, a native of Carbondale, is the son of the late Thelma and Cedric Chubb. He graduated from Benjamin Franklin High School in 1957 and received a degree in physical therapy from Ithaca College, Albert Einstein School of Medicine, Ithaca, N.Y., in 1961. He retired in 2010 from Williamsport Regional Medical Center in the rehabilitation center.
They are the parents of one daughter, Karen Mae Lilley, Cogan Station, and one son, Jeffrey Charles, Williamsport.
There are two grandchildren.
In honor of their anniversary, a family cruise is being planned.
