WELLSBORO - Heidi L. Cleveland, 18, who is listed as homeless, was charged by Wellsboro police with forgery, theft by deception and receiving stolen property after she allegedly stole two of her father's checks and forged them for cash at Citizen's and Northern Bank.
According to documents filed at District Judge Rob Repard's office, Cleveland signed her father's name on a personal check for $300 and cashed it on May 1, then on May 3 forged her father's name on another check for $250 without permission.
She was jailed in lieu of $15,000 bail. Her preliminary hearing is set for Tuesday.
