Two motorcyclists were injured when their motorcycle struck a vehicle at 9:40 p.m. on Saturday along Route 846 in Upper Fairfield Township.
According to reports, the motorcycle was being driven by Andrew M. Peters, 33, of Williamsport. Danielle Chamberlin, 27, of Muncy, was riding as his passenger.
Peters was traveling west along Route 846 when he lost control of the motorcycle while driving along a left-hand curve. The motorcycle slid sideways along the gravel until it struck the guard rail, bounced back into the roadway and collided with a vehicle whose driver was not identified in police reports.
The motorcycle continued to slide about 60 feet before coming to rest in the west bound lane, facing south.
Both Peters and Chamberlin, who were not wearing helmets, were thrown from the motorcycle during the crash, according to state police.
Peters and Chamberlin were transported by ambulance to Williamsport Regional Medical Center. Chamberlin, who suffered minor injuries, was treated and released. Peters, who suffered more serious injuries, was released Monday afternoon.
