Political analyst Dick Morris said the policies of President Barack Obama will spell his defeat in this year's general election.
The best-selling author and FOX News contributor also predicted key U.S. Senate seats held by Democrats, including that of Bob Casey, D-Scranton, will fall to Republicans.
"We will win a majority back in the U.S. Senate," Morris told area political, community and business leaders at Tuesday's Manufacturer & Business Association Central Division event at the Genetti Hotel.

Morris laid out what he claimed have been mistakes of the Obama Administration, including the president's push for stimulus spending and mounting debt.
He said the increased borrowing and spending under Obama must stop.
Otherwise, banks will continue to refrain from lending money.
"Obama has increased government spending from $3 trillion to $4 trillion," he said.
He blamed Obama for tripling the money supply, which banks have been too afraid to lend out.
Federal regulatory agencies such as the Environmental Protection Agency have contributed to the anti-business climate under Obama, paralyzing growth, Morris added.
He pointed to the health care industry, which has become stagnant in terms of job growth.
He noted that Casey almost always votes with Obama and easily could lose to Republican challenger Tom Smith.
Morris, who worked to elect Casey's father to state office, said the son does not measure up to Bob Casey Sr.
Bob Casey was a giant," he said. "Bob Casey Jr. has been a rubber stamp to Obama."
Morris said Romney should choose U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., as his vice presidential candidate.
Rubio, he explained, could help Romney grab more of the very important Latin vote, including in Rubio's home state.
"I believe he (Romney) will carry Pennsylvania," he said, noting that Republicans are increasingly winning important races in the state.
Morris dismissed polls that show the presidential race to be a close one.
Many of those polls, he said, include only registered voters.
"Obama's years are coming to a rapid close," he said. "This guy is a goner."
Morris, who formerly served as a political strategist for President Bill Clinton, was asked why he chose to flee the Democratic Party.
A self-described "peacenik" who opposed nuclear arms and the defense budget, he recalled as a teenager being frightened during the Cuban Missile Crisis in 1962 when the nation came close to war with the Soviets.
"My big thing was the fear of nuclear war," he said.
During the Clinton Administration he was a proponent of welfare reform.
"We cut welfare in half," he said.
It was, he said, the sort of conservative approach to a problem that worked.
Morris resigned as Clinton's chief campaign adviser in 1996 after a tabloid reported that he had a relationship with a call girl.
He later publicly regretted the experience.
