Williamsport Sun-Gazette

LOCK HAVEN - Two teachers at Robb Elementary School were taken to Lock Haven Hospital for injuries sustained at the school, reportedly by a student, on Thursday morning.

The injuries were reported to be "moderate" and "minor" in nature.

Witnesses reported seeing one teacher taken from the school on a gurney and then transported to the hospital in a Lock Haven EMS ambulance.

The initial call to Clinton County Communications Center reported an "assault victim" inside the school on East Church Street.

School Resource Officer Brandon Coleman, who responded to the incident, declined to provide details, referring all questions to district Superintendent Kelly Hastings.

Hastings released the following statement:

"Two teachers at Robb Elementary were injured in the course of performing their classroom duties. Both were transported to Lock Haven Hospital for treatment. These injuries were not related to any security breach or influence from outside the school."

Hastings declined to answer questions or comment further on the incident.
