Clarence "Skip" Myers, 68, of Ruther Glen, Va., formerly of Avis, Pa., went to be with the Lord, Thursday, May 17, 2012.
He was chairman of the deacon board at Ladysmith Baptist Church and loved God, his family and his country.
He is survived by his wife, Peggy Myers; two children, Matthew Myers and his wife Lisa, of Frederick, Md. and Wendy Myers of Lake Anna, Va.; a sister, Lu Ann Pinella, and her husband Mike of Wisconsin; a brother, Larry Myers and his wife Kim, of Pennsylvania; and five grandchildren, Zachary, Jed, Malachi, Caleb and Nathan.
A funeral service will be held at 6 p.m. Sunday, May 20, 2012, at Ladysmith Baptist Church, Ladysmith, Va. with the Rev. Jamie Eades officiating. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.
Burial will be held 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 23, 2012, in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annsville, PA.
