Dalton Laubenstein, 13, and his mother, Lori Laubenstein, of English Center, both bagged spring
gobblers on May 3. Dalton guided
his mother on the Pine Township hunt where they sat side-by-side and shot at the same time. Dalton’s turkey weighed 18 pounds and had a 10 5/8-inch beard with 7/8-inch spurs. Lori’s 18 1/2-pound bird sported a 10 3/8-inch beard with 7/8-inch spurs. It was her first turkey and Dalton’s second for the season.
