Photographer Robert E. Johnstone, of Duncansville, Blair County, submitted this photo on May 14. “This guy has been coming in my yard the last couple days trying to get my feeder,” Johnstone wrote. “He climbed the tree to get it but couldn't reach it, so he just lay up there and took a nap. He didn’t mind me taking pictures. He just lay there and watched me and fell asleep.” The state Game Commission recommends that birdfeeders be taken down at night to prevent bear pillaging.
