Joseph D. Shockloss, 86, of Williamsport, died Tuesday, May 22, 2012, at home.
He was born in Swoyersville, Pa., Jan. 3, 1926, the son of Joseph and Jennie Rosnick Shockloss. Joseph is a member of St. Ann Catholic Church. Joseph was a graduate of Luzerne High School and a Magna Cum Laude graduate of Scranton University. He was a manager for the Internal Revenue Service in the Williamsport area. He was a 4th Degree Member of the Knights of Columbus Council 366, a member of the Eagles Mere Country Club and a life member of Pennsylvania C.P.A.'s, and a member of the American Association of C.P.A.'s.
In his younger years, he managed local baseball teams and was an avid baseball fan for many years.

He is survived by his wife, the former Charmaine Benesky. He and Charmaine celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary this past January 2012.
Joseph was a World War II Navy veteran.
He is also survived by his children, Kurt and Kathy Shockloss, both of Williamsport and a grandson, Brett; and one brother, Daniel Shockloss of Mahwah, N.J.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated in St. Ann Church, 1220 Northway Road, on May 29, 2012, at 10 a.m. His Pastor, the Rev Paul Fontanella, will officiate. There will be no visitation and burial will be in St. John's Cemetery, Dallas, Pa. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Ann Catholic Church or to the St. Anthony's Center, 125 E. Willow St., Williamsport, PA 17701. Crouse Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
