Regarding the "Prankster" letter which appeared Sunday, if the Apostle Paul were living today, I'm sure that his detractors would harp on his having assisted in the stoning of St. Stephen.
If an incident from nearly a half century ago is the best arrow in your quiver, you're in trouble. Do you really want the Republicans digging up more high school-era dirt on the president?
Mr. Obama has admitted in his first book that he attended class sporadically, drank heavily and used drugs enthusiastically during his junior and senior years. What you don't want is the Republicans trotting out medical experts raising questions about how such chemical abuse could have permanently affected Obama's brain as well as his judgment .
This tactic was used successfully many years ago by the late Gov. Casey when he ran against Bill Scranton, Jr, , a "child of the sixties."
Romney bullied a kid and cut his hair. Obama did a lot of booze and drugs. Romney put a dog on the roof of his car, and Obama ate one.
Please, can we get past these non-issues and talk about who is best suited to fix the economy?
