On May 16, the DuBoistown Garden Club held a "Springtime in Italy" luncheon in the Holiday Inn Ballroom featuring many Federated Garden Club members.
Georgie Bower and Carol LaRue were chairwomen of the event, with the following committee members assisting: Pam Barletta, Barbara Barnes, Cynthia Belles, Millie Brennan, Gladys Dapp, Judy Kolb, Linda Kopysciansky, Hilda Lupold, Susan Miller, Virginia Schuman and Elizabeth Snyder.
Large wicker baskets filled with fresh plant material, lemons and a bottle of wine were centerpieces, and Georgie Bower and her committee hand-painted goblets featuring lemons as favors.

The program and highlight of the luncheon was presented by Rosemary Gish Ebersole, a flower show judge and District II and III director. Gish Ebersole is a National Garden Club-accredited judge and landscape consultant. Over the past 10 years she has taught classes at Lehigh Valley garden clubs. She is a member of the Allentown Bethlehem and Emmaus Garden Clubs and volunteers at the Philadelphia Flower Show.
