Mr. and Mrs. John Yon, Williamsport, will observe their 75th wedding anniversary May 29, 2012.
They were married at St. Bernard Church, Bradford. They are members of St. Boniface Catholic Church.
Mrs. Yon, the former Lucile Orlin, is a native of Bradford. She is the daughter of the late Mary Rink Orlin and Michael Orlin. She received a bachelor's degree in elementary education from the former State Teacher's College in Lock Haven, now Lock Haven University. She retired in 1978 and was an elementary school teacher in Altoona, Buckingham, and Union City.

Mr. Yon, a native of Altoona, is the son of the late Kathryn Brandt Yon and Frank Yon. He received an undergraduate degree from the State Teacher's College in Lock Haven and a master's and doctorate degree in education from Penn State University, State College. He retired in 1978 and was a teacher and principal, Penfield High School; a chemistry teacher, Altoona High School; coordinator of student teachers in Eastern Pennsylvania, Penn State University; assistant superintendent, Central Bucks School District; and dean and vice president of student personnel services at Edinboro State College.
They are the parents of three daughters, Jacqueline Hickok, York Haven; LuAnn Duffy, Somerdale, N.J.; and Cherie Hodrick, Williamsport.
There are nine grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
In honor of their anniversary, a family celebration in Ocean City, N.J., their life-long vacation spot and residence for 16 years, is being planned.
