Mr., Mrs. Paul Easton observe 60th anniversary

Mr. and Mrs. Paul Easton, Trout Run, observed their 60th wedding anniversary May 23, 2012.

They were married by the Rev. Raymond E. Shaheen at Messiah Lutheran Church, South Williamsport.

Mrs. Easton, the former Edith Manley, is a native of South Williamsport. She is the daughter of the late Jean and Herbert Manley. She graduated from South Williamsport High School in 1948 and was employed in the Manley Tea Room and Hearthstone Tea Room. She was the arts and crafts director of Artcraft Concepts and Janet's Floral Creations for 26 years. She is semi-retired.

MR., MRS. PAUL EASTON

Mr. Easton, a native of Rose Valley, is the son of the late Elizabeth and George Easton. He graduated from Montoursville High School in 1946 and worked in the woods with his father. He opened the Paul Easton Lumber sawmill in 1957 and still is employed.

They are the parents of two daughters, Carol Dees, Winston-Salem, N.C., and Janet Johns, Williamsport, and three sons, John, William and Thomas, all of Trout Run.

There are eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
