A 21-year-old city man committed to the Lycoming County Prison on a bench warrant faces charges after corrections officers discovered a bag of marijuana in his left sock, city police said.
Shamol C. McDuffy was taken into custody by city police on the warrant in the 300 block of Memorial Avenue about noon on March 13. He was taken directly to jail, and the bag of marijuana was found in his sock during the initial search, police said.
Following his recent arraignment before District Justice Allen P. Page III on a felony charge of possession of contraband and a misdemeanor charge of possession of drug paraphernalia, McDuffy was recommitted in lieu of $10,000 bail.
