Sheri Beam makes a point during her talk at Mansfield University’s Graduation Celebration.
"The years you spent here not only give you a degree, it's going to give you a phenomenal foundation for where you go from here," Beam told the graduates.
Using a kaleidoscope as a metaphor on how to see, deal with and be ready for change, Beam said, "Opportunities are out there, take advantage of them and, when need be, use your kaleidoscope."
The Graduation Celebration brings together graduates and university administration, faculty and staff on the day before commencement. Special recognition is given to the candidates for outstanding senior.
Alumni Association President Amy Dupree Brooks '80 welcomed the graduates to the ranks of MU alumni and urged them to stay connected with their soon to-be alma mater.
