Priestley Chapel service
NORTHUMBERLAND - Priestley Chapel Associates will present an informal program of words and music from 9:30-10:10 a.m. at Joseph Priestley Memorial Chapel, 380 Front St., featuring Tom Bresenhan reading several poems of Stephen Spender. Also guest poet Ann Keeler Evans, minister at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of the Susquehanna Valley, will read from her work accompanied by drummer Steve Mitchell. Charles Phelps is organist and pianist for the program.
Summer study seminar

The Farragut Mt. Zion United Methodist Church hosts its monthly First Tuesday Fellowship Dinner from 5:30-7 p.m. Free-will donations are accepted. The church is along Route 864 near the intersection with Route 87.

Strawberry festivals
Bethel-Linden Presbyterian Church, 2758 Bottle Run Road, will hold its annual Strawberry Festival from 4:30-7 p.m. Along with strawberry shortcake and sundaes there also will be hot turkey and barbecue sandwiches, hot dogs, salads and homemade pies.
PINE CREEK - Garman Lutheran Church, along Sulphur Run Road in Pine Creek Township, will hold its annual strawberry festival from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Vendors are welcome to set up outside on the church lawn for the event. Anyone wishing to participate may call organizer, Patti Rinker at 753-8124. In addition to strawberry shortcake, there will be homemade baked goods, basket raffle, trash and treasures, lunch platters, homemade soup, pies and ice cream.

MUNCY - The Kingdom Kidz Inc. will present "I'm No. 1 to God" at 10:30 a.m. at the Moreland Community Church, 1300 Church Drive, as part of its Children's Day service.

Memorial Service

Mom's Morning Out
LINDEN - Lycoming Christian Church, 20 Chapel Hill Road, will hold Mom's Morning Out from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. for children through fifth grade on three Saturdays over the summer: June 16 (register by June 6), July 28 (register by July 20) and Aug. 11 (register by Aug. 3). The church is dedicated to providing a child-centered program in which children will have lots of fun, playing games, making crafts and playing in a safe and loving environment. The free event includes lunch, snacks and games. Children should bring swimsuits and a towel to cool off on a giant slip-n-slide. Call 322-9940 to register.
