Proper choices

June 4, 2012
Williamsport Sun-Gazette

When the problems we face in the world today are discussed, it is usually done so in a pragmatic manner, or without considering the ideology underlying the thinking that led to the problems in the first place. Ideology is of little interest to those who confuse wishful thinking for idealism.

If we are to make proper choices, we must have the knowledge to do so; knowledge is impossible if we can't or won't face the reality of the ideology guiding the choices made by our leaders.
