The following letter concerns the traffic situation at the intersection of Route 220 and Pine Run Road.
The infinite wisdom of the "upper echelon" comes to the fore front again, concerning "safety" precautions at the Route 220 and Pine Run Road intersection.
What ever has happened to common sense?
The traffic light at Routes 220 and 287 reduced accidents and traffic fatalities considerably. Visibility in both directions at that intersection compares to the intersection of Pine Run and Route 220. If it works well there, why would it not work at the Pine Run and Route 220 intersection? Rumors are flowing that we, the taxpayers, are not aware of many details in this situation.
