A two-car crash along Cherry Flats Road in Charleston Township sent two elderly women to the hospital on Sunday evening.

According to state police, the crash occurred when Jean Campbell, 83, and her passenger, Pearl Bacon, both of Wellsboro, were traveling east on Cherry Flats Road in Campbell's Chevrolet Malibu.

Brett Jacob Martin, 32, of Wellsboro, had parked his Toyota along Arnot Road, near the intersection with Cherry Flats Road and pulled out in front of Campbell, and was struck by her vehicle.

Campbell, who suffered minor injuries, was transported to Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hospital in Wellsboro and was in stable condition, according to hospital officials.

Bacon, who suffered moderate injuries, according to police, was taken to Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre.
