Mr. and Mrs. Charles N. Hess Jr., Williamsport, will observe their 50th wedding anniversary June 16, 2012.
They were married by the Rev. Jerome D. Van Breckle at St. John Lutheran Church.
Mrs. Hess, the former June Kling, is a native of Lock Haven. She is the daughter of the late Eleanor W. SeeWald and the late Irvin E. Kling. She graduated from the former Lock Haven High School, now Central Mountain High School, in 1957.

Mr. Hess is the son of the late Martha and Charles Hess Sr. He graduated from Williamsport High School in 1957. He was employed by Stroehmann Bakery, now Bimbo Bakeries, for 30 years and he retired in 2005 from Willamsport Wire Rope Works Inc.
They are the parents of two daughters, Karen L. Stoner, South Williamsport, and Debra A. Hess of Williamsport.
There are two grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
In honor of their anniversary, a family cruise to the Bahamas is planned for October.
