Looftlighter

June 10, 2012
Williamsport Sun-Gazette

In a way, the Looftlighter looks like a giant curling iron. This look-a-like heats up but is used as a fire-starter, not a hair styler.

The Looftlighter can be used in fireplaces, stoves or grills without the use of lighter fluid or gas.

The gadget plugs into an electrical outlet and sends heat to the core of the barrel and then can be used to light a grill or indoor fireplace.

It heats up fast and has a short cool-down time. It is not meant to be used to light an indoor kitchen stove and it should not be used by children.

The Looftlighter's main advantage is the fact you can get a good light on a fire in minutes and it uses electricity, not gas.
