Dale M. Mills Sr., 75, of 150 Heatherbrooke Estates, Muncy and formerly of Hughesville, died Saturday, June 9, 2012, at the Williamsport Regional Medical Center.
Born March 13, 1937, in Glen Mawr, he was a son of the late Otis Jr. and Dorothy L. (Montague) Mills. On July 30, 1955, he married the former Vivian L. Stiger. Together they celebrated 56 years of marriage.
Dale was a 1955 graduate of Hughesville High School and spent the next eight years serving his country in the U.S. Army Reserves. At the same time, he began a 40-year welding career at the former Sprout Waldron in Muncy, retiring in 1999.

He attended the Point Bethel United Methodist Church, Glen Mawr.
Surviving, in addition to his wife of Muncy, are three sons and one daughter-in-law, Roger D. Mills of Hughesville, Daniel W. Mills of Owings Mills, Md., and Dale M. Jr. and Jeane Mills of Monroeville; three daughters and sons-in-law, Diane L. and Ronald Gamble Sr. of Allenwood, Wendy S. and G. Mark Kline of Hughesville and Lisa L. and Steven Charles of Muncy; one sister, Wilma Wilson of Glen Mawr; eight grandchildren, Jennifer Gledhill, Matthew Kline, Bradley Mills, Ronald Gamble Jr., Laura Schwenk, Amber Huther, Aileen Dillon and Patrick Dillon; 13 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
