On behalf of all runners, joggers, bicyclists, walkers and roller bladers, I'd like to personally thank Loyalsock Township for closing down the bikepath! It isn't like this is the busy season for it's usage!
The MENSA members at the control of the township have had it closed for the past 3 months and it appears it will be closed for most of the summer!
Why you ask? Whoever is in charge of obtaining permits didn't know you needed a permit to excavate along the dike or levee system! You have to obtain permission from the Army Corp Of Engineers to dig along their dike?
And this from the most over regulated municipality of the county and area. I've watched the construction crew building the new Arch Street bridge pour concrete all winter but Loyalsock couldn't did a ditch!
So thanks, Loyalsock Township, for ruining the summer exercise season. I hope no one gets killed while using the Golden Strip because of your action!
