Three masked men armed with two handguns and a sawed-off shotgun burst into a home in the first block of Ross Street and terrorized a husband and wife, only to realize they were in the wrong house, city police said.
However, that did not deter the bandits from stealing $2,000 worth of jewelry, coins, a rifle, two cellphones and a bank card from the terrified victims, police said.
The home invasion occurred about 11:50 p.m. Dec. 11 and, on Thursday morning, police arrested one of the alleged gunmen, Kaiyim Boyce, 26, formerly of Hawthorne Avenue in the city.

City police Capt. Raymond O. Kontz III returns Kaiyim Boyce to the Lycoming County Prison on Thursday after the 26-year-old inmate was arraigned on charges in connection with a home invasion in mid-December.
Boyce, jailed on a probation violation at the Lycoming County Prison since late January, was taken from his cell and arraigned before District Judge Allen P. Page III on charges of robbery-related offenses.
During the holdup, one of the intruders put a gun in the husband's mouth, demanding that he disclose the pin number to his bank card, Agent Stephen J. Sorage said in an affidavit.
After the holdup, an attempt was made to withdraw money from the couple's account from an ATM, but Sorage did not say if any money was actually withdrawn.
One of the gunmen gave the stolen jewelry to his girlfriend, Sorage said investigators later learned.
Boyce was arraigned on charges of robbery, terroristic threats, possession of an instrument of crime, burglary, felony trespassing, theft, receiving stolen property, criminal mischief and carrying a firearm without a license. He was recommitted in lieu of $350,000 bail.
