Rummage sale
The Board of Deacons of the Covenant-Central Presbyterian Church, 807 W. Fourth St., will hold an indoor rummage sale on Friday from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m.-noon in the fellowship hall. Entry to the sale is from the parking lot door off Campbell Street. Proceeds from the sale will benefit the Deacons' local charities and outreach projects. The full range of articles include clothes, housewares, electronics, tools, linens, collectibles, holiday decor and furniture.
Parish Festival
MUNCY - The Church of the Resurrection, 75 Musser Lane, will host its 14th annual Parish Festival from 4-9 p.m. both days featuring Italian sausage, pierogies and kielbasa, pulled pork barbecue, potato pancakes, haluski, hot dogs, hamburgers and beverages. On Saturday, there also will be a chicken barbecue with a half chicken, baked beans, pepper slaw, roll and cupcake for $8 at the festival or $7 in advance by calling Mary at 547-6166. There also will be gift baskets to raffle, bake sale, ice cream, wine wheel, plant stand, book stand, instant bingo, raffle and drawings. In addition, there will be music along with children's games.

Chicken corn soup sale
QUIGGLEVILLE - St. Michael's Lutheran Church, St. Michael's Road, will hold a homemade chicken corn soup sale starting at 11 a.m. The cost is $4 a quart. Follow Lycoming Creek Road to Powys (two mile detour) then turn left on St. Michael's Road.
Daniel's Closet open
Redeemer Lutheran Church, 1101 Washington Blvd., will open Daniel's Closet from 9-11 a.m. Donations of clean, seasonal clothing will be accepted at the church from 5-6 p.m. June 21.
JUNE 24
Outdoor worship slated
WOOLRICH - Woolrich Community United Methodist Church, 1080 Park Ave., will celebrate worship in the outdoors with one service at 10:30 a.m. at pavilion No. 1 - nearest the ball field - in the community park. Following the service there will be a picnic with hot dogs, rolls, condiments and beverage. Bring a dish to share and your own table service.
Ham and scalloped potato dinner
LIBERTY - Salem Ladies Aid and Thrivent Financial for Lutherans will hold a ham and scalloped potato dinner immediately following the Blockhouse Festival church service, about 11 a.m., at the Liberty High School cafeteria. The cost is $7 for adults and $4 for children. The menu includes ham and scalloped potatoes, green beans, cole slaw, roll, cupcake, coffee, lemonade and water. Takeouts will be available.
