Montoursville used a huge first inning to jump ahead and put Montgomery in a hole it couldn't climb out of as the Montoursville Major Sofball all-star team defeated Montgomery, 11-6, in its opening District 12 tournament game. Korin Dangle went the distance for Montoursville, throwing a 4-hitter. Montoursville collected 12 hits and was led by Faith Foster's 3 hits while Amy Updegraff and Lauren O'Malley each had two.
