Martha A. West, 87, formerly of Williamsport, died Tuesday, June 19, 2012, at the Masonic Village in Elizabethtown.
Born Sept. 27, 1924, in Williamsport, she was a daughter of the late Horace and Margaret Schemery Bower.
Martha was employed by Lycoming College for many years. She loved dancing, crocheting and embroidery.
Surviving are her children, Richard W. of Williamsport, David A. of Troy, Joseph E. of Mifflinburg, Connie L. Frey of Ephrata, Barbara A. McIntyre of New Columbia, Rachel E. Frey of Akron, Pa., Margaret N. Daniels of Bushkill, Pa., 27 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel C. West Sr.; a daughter, Charlene L. West; two sons, Daniel West Jr. and John I. West; and six siblings.
There will be a viewing on Saturday from 4 to 6 p.m. at Sanders Mortuary, 821 Diamond St., Williamsport.
Interment will be in Wildwood Cemetery.
