10 sentenced in Tioga County

WELLSBORO - Ten people were sentenced in Tioga County Court on Monday.

According to court documents, sentenced to county prison were:

Richard A. Schweigart, 41, of 141 1/2 Buffalo St., Elkland, six to 12 months in jail, 90 days' credit time served for defiant trespass. He was charged by Elkland police when he continued to go to Doris Sikowski's home at 216 Parkhurst St., after police told him repeatedly to stop.

Jeremie D. Ressler, 37, of 853 Pickle Hill Road, Mansfield, five years' supervision, 90 days in jail, last 30 days on house arrest, then probation for driving under the influence of intoxicants, his second conviction in 10 years. He was charged by borough police following a traffic stop on South Main Street on July 15.

Russell R. Hill, 27, of Lancaster, 24 months' intermediate punishment, with three months in jail then probation for simple assault. He was charged by Westfield police following a domestic incident with Denise Mays at the apartment they shared at 225 Lincoln St., Apt. 202B, on Oct. 5.

Robert L. Spencer, 47, of 438 Benauer Road, six months' supervision, five days for driving under the influence of intoxicants. He was charged by borough police after he crashed his car on West Avenue on March 7.

Sentenced to probation were:

Cory I. George, 21, of 169 River St., Tioga, 12 months for possession of drug paraphernalia to run consecutively to any other sentence being served. He was charged by state police at the prison following his arrest on a probation violation Dec. 30. A probation officer found a small plastic bag with white powder in it, which was found to be methamphetamine. He also had six barrel pens and a syringe.

Richard A. Schweigart, 41, of 141 1/2 N. Buffalo St., Elkland, 12 months for disorderly conduct. He was charged by Elkland police after he went to the Harold Potter residence, hit him in the face on March 16 and returned on March 20 to threaten Potter.

Samantha L. Arena, 22, of 1969 Charleston Road, nine months' probation for receiving stolen property. She was charged by borough police for taking a cellphone belonging to Leslie Kaiser at Yo Mama's Mug, Crafton Street, on Jan. 14.

Ryan E. Etheridge, 22, of 66 Morris Drive, Mansfield, nine months for access device fraud. He was charged by university police after he deposited three empty envelopes, claiming they contained $600, into the ATM in Manser Hall, 39 College Place, and then withdrew the funds from Dec. 7 to 9.

Alan S. Watkins, 36, of 104 Upper Main St., Knoxville, nine months' special probation for driving under the influence of intoxicants. He was charged by state police after he crashed his car on Route 49, Knoxville, on Jan. 7.

Phillip E. Jennings, 22, of 177 St. Mary's St., Apt. 2, Blossburg, nine months' special probation for driving under the influence of intoxicants. He was charged by borough police following a Feb. 4 traffic stop on Hoard Street.
