Though P.T. Barnum is incorrectly credited to have said: "There is a sucker born every minute", this truism is still valid today. This simply means that there are plenty of gullible people who can be manipulated into believing a lie they are told without checking the facts.
A lie is simply a statement said with the intention of misrepresenting the truth in order to deceive someone into believing something that is not true. This kind of lying was done on a regular basis during Obama's campaign speeches which got him elected, and such is proven every time President Obama gives a speech now.
In 2009 Sen. Joe Wilson could not resist shouting out "You lie." during Obama's state of the Union speech, and I sympathize with Sen. Wilson, since I cannot resist shouting at the TV or radio: "You lie", every time I hear Obama speak too!
He blames Bush for inheriting a financial crisis, but misrepresents his own decisions that are making it worse. He blames Congress for their actions or lack thereof, but neglects to mention that Republicans have only held the majority of the House for the past two years and it is his own policies to blame for the results now.
What sucker believes he has created four million new jobs, while he excludes how many more jobs his policies have cost causing unemployment to continue to rise. What sucker believes he wants to give everyone a fair shot, and a fair share, all the while intending to take money earned by some, and give it to others who did nothing to earn it, so as to manipulate their vote. What sucker doesn't see that he is mortgaging your children's future, to pay for so called "green projects" that go bankrupt while still lining the pockets of his own supporters? What sucker is fooled into thinking that running up more debt solves their debt problems? What sucker believes that over regulating coal plants and oil projects is helping to solve our energy problems?
Yes, plenty of voters were manipulated by Obama's lies four years ago. He has a record of facts now. Lets hope there are not enough minutes before the election to add up to the number of suckers born needed for him to be re-elected!
