Mr. and Mrs. Emil Waldman, Williamsport, will observe their 65th wedding anniversary June 28, 2012.
They were married by the Rev. John Piontek at Holy Rosary Church of Newberry. They are members of St. Joseph the Worker Parish.
Mrs. Waldman, the former Wilhelmina Szybist, is a native of Williamsport. She is the daughter of the late Katherine and John Szybist. She attended Williamsport High School. She retired in 1983 from Williamsport area schools as a cafeteria employee.

Mr. Waldman, a native of Williamsport, is the son of the late Martha and William Waldman. He graduated from the former St. Mary High School, now St. John Neumann Regional Academy, in 1942. He served in the Army Air Force during World War II from 1943 to 1945. He retired in 1985 from US Airways after 37 years of service.
They are the parents of three daughters, Mikki Cole, Milan, Pa.; Ann and Mary Lynn Waldman, both of Maryland; and three sons, William, Mansfield; Emil, New Hampshire; and Paul J., Florida.
There are four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
In honor of their anniversary, a family gathering is being planned.
