Mr. and Mrs. William P. Kiessling Sr., Williamsport, observed their 50th wedding anniversary June 23, 2012.
They were married at St. Ann Catholic Church and are members of St. Boniface Catholic Church.
Mrs. Kiessling, the former Dinah M. Hargrave, is a native of Roanoke, Va. She is the daughter of the late Ruth and John Hargrave. She graduated from the former St. Mary High School, now St. John Neumann Regional Academy, in 1958. She was employed by Williamsport Manor for 16 years as manager and was secretary for St. Boniface School and the former Bishop Neumann High School. She retired in 2006 from RegScan Inc.

Mr. Kiessling, a native of Williamsport, is the son of the late Rhonda and John Kiessling. He graduated from St. Mary High School in 1957. He served in the Marine Corps from 1958 to 1961 as a military police officer. He was employed by Stroehmann Brothers Co. for 25 years and by Curtis Industries for 10 years. He retired in 1997 from Terminix.
They are the parents of three daughters, Marci Davis, McElhattan; Patti Kiessling, South Williamsport; and Dana Moser, Watsontown; and one son, William II, Muncy.
There are three grandchildren.
In honor of their anniversary, a mass was held Saturday at St. Boniface Church and a celebration hosted by their family was held today at St. Lawrence Social Room, South Williamsport. The couple also attended a jubilarian celebration on June 3, at St. Peter's Cathedral, Scranton, where they renewed their vows.
