WATERVILLE - Girl Scout Day will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. July 14 at Little Pine State Park.
The day will cover some of the requirements for the Junior Girl Scout badge "Rocks Rock."
In the morning, Scouts will cover "Be a Rock Hound," "Soil Sense" and "Fossil Fun."
After lunch, the Scouts will cover "The View from Above" as well as "What Type Is It?" where there will be a special segment on gemstones and jewelry making.
There is no fee for the event, but registration is required.
Scouts may register as an individual or as a troop.
The maximum registration is 20, and if a minimum of five do not register, the event will be canceled. Registration is now open.
