Malcom (Jack) Linnell Frost, 67, of South Williamsport, died Sunday, June 17, 2012, at the Gatehouse Hospice surrounded by his family.
He was born in Mineola, N.Y., the son of the late Maurice L. and Ethel (Waywell) Frost on Jan. 8, 1945.
A veteran of the U.S. Army, Jack retired as a Sergeant First Class after 20 years of service to his country. Of which Jack served 15 years as a personal Sergeant and 18 years as an administrative specialist. Jack was decorated in service with the Bronze Star, serving with honor and bravery while deployed in Operation Desert Storm. Jack also received numerous Army Commendation medals, six Good Conduct medals, numerous Army Achievement medals, the National Defense service ribbon, the Southwest Asia service medal with three Bronze Service stars, the Non-commissioned Officer Service medal and the Kuwait Liberation medal.

Jack moved to the Williamsport area in 2002, and was formerly employed by Winner Hardware.
Jack shared the past 13 years with the love of his life, Mary C. (Ganoe) Price. Also surviving are, his beloved sister, Jenifer Poirer, and his sons, Mark Linnell Williams, of Silverdale, Wash. and Theodore Grant Price and Allen Joseph Price, both of South Williamsport. Jack was also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Jack was preceded in death by his late parents, and his son Maurice. Jack enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and will be greatly missed by all who had the honor of knowing him.
Funeral services with military honors will be held for Jack at 2 p.m., Tuesday, June 26, 2012, at the Garden of Memories, Wildwood Cemetery, Williamsport, Pa., with the reverend Cleveland J. Way officiating.
The family kindly declines floral tributes and requests that donations in the memory of Malcolm Linnell Frost be made, if so desired, to the Gatehouse Hospice, C/O Providence Foundation, 1100 Grampian Blvd., Williamsport, Pa. 17701.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Charles M. Noll Funeral Home, 1 E. Central Ave., South Williamsport, PA 17702.
