Howard L. Broughton, 66, of Genoa, N.Y., died on Thursday, June 21, 2012.
He was born on Aug. 12, 1945, in Blossburg, Pa., a son of the late Howard and Marian Broughton. He was married to A. Yvonne (Phillips) Broughton for 47 years.
Howard loved to golf, hunt and was a hard worker who was on the go all the time. He and his wife operated BEA Electronics, Inc. of Genoa, N.Y. for 23 years.
Howard is survived by his wife, Yvonne; four sons and a daughter-in-law, Howard and Shelly Broughton Jr. of Clay, N.Y., Harold Broughton of Auburn, N.Y., Terry Broughton of Genoa, N.Y., Timothy Broughton of Genoa, N.Y.; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Barbara and Gary Bowen of Wellsboro, Pa., Judy Baker of Tioga, Pa.; four grandsons; four granddaughters; one great-granddaughter and a close friend, Danny Gilfus of Auburn, N.Y.
Friends may call on Tuesday, June 26, 2012, from 2 to 3 p.m. at the Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church, Morris, Pa. Funeral services will follow at 3 p.m. with Sherri Butters officiating. Interment will be in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
