Charles Richard Hertel, of Canton, passed away quietly at Bradford County Manor June 25, 2012. He was 82, and husband of Janice (Sweeney) Hertel. Rich was a 20-year retiree of PennDOT, and previously had worked for Ward Mfg., as well as operating his family's dairy farm near Ralston.
Surviving are his wife, Janice; twin sister, Vivienne Bumpus; and brothers, David, John and Ted Hertel. Calling hours noon until 2 p.m. Friday at Canton Ecumenical Parish. Masonic service at 1:50 p.m. and funeral service at 2 p.m. Interment in Grover Cemetery. (Morse & Kleese)
