Dolores Mae (Pennycoff) McGuire, originally of Williamsport, Pa., died peacefully in her Dallastown apartment on June 19, 2012. She was 75.
Dolores was born in West Milton, Pa., to the late Clarence Albert Sr. and Alberta (Bridge) Pennycoff.
She was a graduate of South Williamsport Area High School and most of her working career was with the Pennsylvania Railroad, starting in 1955, and its successors, Penn Central and Conrail. She worked at five different offices Williamsport, Pa., Meadville, Pa., Youngstown, Ohio, Conway, Pa., and Pittsburgh, Pa. She retired from railroad service in 1998. She also briefly worked at Tetley Tea in Williamsport.

She was a member of Mt. Zion Potosi United Methodist Church, Glen Rock, Pa., and had previously attended activities at the Glen Rock and Red Lion Senior Centers. She was also a member of the Williamsport Chapter No. 321 Order of the Eastern Star. Her favorite retirement activities included yard sales, word puzzles, spending time with her family, and caring for her "grand dogs."
Dolores is survived by a son, Stephen Karl Klotz of York, Pa.; two grandsons, Joshua Klotz of Bethesda, Md., and Daniel Klotz of Lancaster, Pa.; and a brother, C. Albert Pennycoff Jr. of Cogan Station, Pa. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, friends, and two special canine buddies Buck and Arizona. She was predeceased by a sister, Sandy Bowers and a brother, Harold Pennycoff.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday June 29, 2012, at the Noll Funeral Home, 1 E. Central Ave., South Williamsport, with a visitation being held Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Forest Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Dolores requested that as a memorial, that her family and friends "do a good deed, hug a friend, say a prayer, or perform a random act of kindness." Memorial contributions may also be directed to the Keystone Greyhounds Adoption Organization, 1406 Harcourt Drive, Harrisburg, PA 17110.
