Serritella hits 1st home run for Cutters in win

Christopher Serritella broke open a tie in the top of the sixth by hitting a home run into right field to give the Crosscutters a 2-1 win over Mahoning Valley on Wednesday night.

It was Serritella's first home run of the season.

In the top of the second inning, the Cutters' Mitch Walding singled on a line drive into center field to score Larry Greene, who reached on a single to start the inning.

Delvin Perez started for the Crosscutters and earned the win.

Williamsport was led by Greene, who went 2 for 3 with a double.

Williamsport travels to Auburn today for the start of a three-game series.
