In the June 27 editorial you say Obama has declared war on coal, which is a blatantly hyperbolic accusation. You say that we are using coal less and natural gas more, but natural gas will be much more expensive.
So are you unconsciously implying that our gas drilling boom should be curtailed and we should dig more coal to ease the financial energy burden for our citizens? That would seem to contradict your glowing, not to say rabidly fanatical, support for natural gas drilling which I believe you opined will benefit every citizen of our great Commonwealth.
You are on record, as I remember, stating that the "warmists" want to destroy our economy by reducing usage of fossil fuels such as coal and oil.
A large group of reputable scientists have spent many decades carefully and objectively studying global climate change? The research finds very strong evidence for an anthropogenic (that means "manmade") contribution to the unusually rapid rise in global air and ocean temperatures since the Industrial Revolution began, when fossil fuels began to be burned in large and ever larger quantities.
