Mr. and Mrs. David E. Tompkins, Muncy, observed their 40th wedding anniversary June 3, 2012.
They were married by the late Rev. H. Edgar Thoren at Central Baptist Church.
Mrs. Tompkins, the former Bonnie Bartholomew, is the daughter of the late Verna and John Bartholomew. She is employed by Twin Hills Health Center, Muncy, as business manager and by Muncy Bank and Trust Co. as director.

Mr. Tompkins is the son of the late Hazel and Roy Tompkins. He is employed by the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank as operations coordinator.
They are the parents of a daughter, April Roberts.
There is one granddaughter and a grandson is expected this year.
In honor of their anniversary, the couple was honored at a surprise party with family and friends, hosted by their daughter. The couple also spent 10 days on a Caribbean cruise.
