Announcement has been made of the engagement of Amber Leigh Herlt and Phillip Jesse Wingo, both of Hughesville.
A December 15 wedding at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Hughesville, is being planned.
Herlt is the daughter of Charles E. Herlt and Jamie A. Fry, both of Hughesville. She graduated from Hughesville High School in 2004 and received a degree in respiratory therapy from Luzerne County Community College, Nanticoke, in 2010. She is employed by Geisinger Medical Center as a respiratory therapist.

Wingo is the son of Phyllis Wingo, Sonora, Calif., and the late Cary Wingo. He graduated from Summerville High School, Tuolumne, Calif., in 1997 and is employed by Buck Lumber, Hughesville. He served in the Army in the 82nd Airborne from 2000 to 2003.
