Announcement has been made of the engagement of Sarah Elizabeth Sereno and Charles Halton Thomson.
An Aug. 3 wedding on Hilton Head beach, S.C., is being planned.
Sereno is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Sereno, Bluffton, S.C. She graduated from Loyalsock Township High School in 2003 and received a degree in accounting from Milligan College, Johnson City, Tenn., in 2007.

Thomson is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Brian Thomson, Savannah, Ga., and Mr. and Mrs. Henry Norris, Pensacola, Fla. He graduated from Richmond Hill High School, Richmond Hill, Ga., in 2007 and received a degree in history from Armstrong Atlantic State University, Savannah, Ga., this year.
