Major Baseball game suspended after 6 innings

Loyalsock and Hepburn-Lycoming were tied 12-12 after 6 innings when their District 12 Major Baseball winner's bracket final was suspended for darkness Friday night at Montgomery. The game will resume at 9 a.m. today at Montgomery.

The Loyalsock-Hep Lyco winner advances to the championship next Friday at Lamade Stadium. The loser drops into the consolation final July 3 for the right to play at Lamade.

In 10-11 Baseball, Derek Gee and Evan Nagy had 3 hits apiece as Loyalsock scored 13 times in the second inning to beat East Lycoming, 15-0.

Keystone needed three runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to advance past Jersey Shore/GSV, 17-16. Keystone scored 13 times in the final three innings.

In Minor Baseball, Montoursville scored 10 runs in the first two innings and stayed alive in the elmination bracket with a 13-2 win over Old Lycoming.

In age 15 Babe Ruth, West End shut out Keystone, 11-0, in the District 8 tournanent in Clearfield. Anthony Caruso and Damone Buxton had 3 hits each in the win and Bradley Walter pitched a 3-hit, 5-inning shutout.
