Loyalsock downed?Keystone, 8-3, in the District 12 10-11-year-old baseball tournament thanks in large part to the arm of Aiden?Gair. Gair went all six innings, scattering five hits throughout it, and recorded nine strikeouts.
Connor Watkins and Derek Gee each contributed to Loyalsock's offense with a home run while Evan Nagy and?Zach?Haefner each went 2 for 4 in the win.
Newberry used an 11-run second inning to power past Montoursville, 18-6, in just four innings. Brenton Pfleegor went 3 for 3 with two doubles and four RBIs for Newberry while Renard Short went 2 for 2 with a double and home run.
Newberry and?Loyalsock play each other on Saturday at Keystone with a berth in the District 12 championship on the line.
Montoursville and Keystone both drop into the losers' bracket. Keystone will play at Brandon while Montoursville awaits the winner of the East Lycoming/Jersey Shore-GSV game on Tuesday.

Sam Buck threw three solid innings on the mound for West?End in addition to leading its offense by going 3 for 3 with 3 RBIs to propel West End to a 13-6 win over Altoona in the District 8 tournament.
West?End's pitching staff forced Altoona to strand nine runners on base.
Bailey Young and Ian Disnmore each had 3 RBIs as well in the win.
West End plays Altoona again in the?District 8 championship today at Clearfield at 1 p.m. If a second game is necessary, it will be played afterwards at 5 p.m.
For the second game in a row in the District 8 Babe Ruth 14-year-old tournament, West End scored 21 runs, this time in a 21-1 win over State College. Caleb Schumucker earned the win for West End while going 2 for 2 with two runs scored, a triple and five RBIs.
West End plays Altoona in State College at 1 p.m. this afternoon.
Paul Heubst of Williamsport hit a hole in one on Tuesday at the White Deer Golf Course. Heubst hit it with a 4-iron on the 120-yard hole 6 of the Challenge Course.
At the Bald Eagle Swim?League Dual?Meet, Loyalsock and Tri-Town each tied, 5-5, this past week.
Jersey Shore edged Williamsport, 7-3, in the Bald Eagle Swim?League as well.
