State award given to local psychologist

Michael W. Gillum received the Pennsylvania Psychological Association's Psychology in the Media Award on June 22 during the association's annual convention at the Hilton Harrisburg.

Gillum received a master's degree in psychology from Mansfield University. He is a licensed psychologist and the owner and director of Gillum Psychological and Counseling Services in Williamsport.

He established his reputation as a psychologist in central Pennsylvania in a variety of services to the public and private sector. He is a provider of psychotherapy and comprehensive psychological evaluations to children and adults.

Gillum is a consultant to county courts, Children and Youth Services, Juvenile Probation, law enforcement, school districts, other human services agencies and the state attorney general's office.
