WELLSBORO - A 71-year-old Charleston Township man was killed Tuesday morning when his Kubota lawn tractor rolled over on top of him as he was cutting his grass, according to state police.
The death of Gary D. Bowen, of Cherry Flats Road, has been ruled accidental, police said.
Bowen's body was discovered on the side of the road by a passing motorist about 9:45 a.m., police said. The tractor had flipped into a large ditch on the north side of Cherry Flats Road.
An ambulance rushed Bowen to the Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hospital, but he died in the emergency room, police said.
