We must respond to a letter sent by Dan Mason, since, it seems, he doesn't understand the difference between a question and a statement. We asked the question, "Would Jesus vote pro-choice?" He responded that we are correct, in what way? Now, we will make it a statement that perhaps he will understand, "Jesus would not vote pro-choice!"
Mr. Mason also used biblical references with which we are very familiar. Yes, Jesus allows us to use our free will to sin or to not sin. And, also, these references are not mythology as stated by Mr. Mason, but were factual events. Two of Webster's definitions of mythology are: Any invented story and an imaginary person or thing. These are factual events, not myths.
In today's society, pro-choice is used to describe the killing of unborn babies by the procedure called abortion. If two candidates are running for office, one approving of the killing of unborn babies, the other supporting the protection of those lives, Jesus would vote for the supporter of life.
Yes, he allows sin to happen of our own free will, even abortion. But, he would make the "choice" to protect life.
