Freda E. Butler, 85, of South Williamsport, died Tuesday, July 3, 2012, at the Williamsport Home.
Born Feb. 21, 1927, in Nanty Glo, Cambria County, she was a daughter of Carl and Mabel Thomas Dick.
She enjoyed playing with her grandchildren, bingo, and car rides. She was a member of the Salvation Army in Lock Haven. Freda had worked at the Holiday Inn, Silk Mill, and Cobbler Shoes.
Surviving are two sons, Richard Butler with whom she lived, and Sherman Dick; many grandchildren and many great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Sherman Butler and a son, James Butler.
Visitation will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, at Sanders Mortuary, 821 Diamond St., Williamsport, followed by a funeral service at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be held in St. Paul's Cemetery, Lamar.
Donations may be made to the funeral home to assist the family with final expenses.
