Chris Serritella's three-run home run in the fourth inning lifted the William-sport Crosscutters at Brooklyn Thursday night, 5-4, and helped snap the team's five-game losing streak.
Mitch Walding tied the game in the fourth inning when he singled home Cameron Perkins. Walding finished 2 for 5.
Larry Green was 3 for 5, including a seventh-inning single up the middle that scored Perkins with two outs after Brooklyn pulled within two runs. Perkins was 2 for 4.
Jordan Guth earned the win, allowing an unearned run and three hits through five innings. Matt Sisto allowed two runs in the sixth inning in relief, and Zach Cooper allowed another in the seventh. Jeb Stefan earned the save with two strikeouts after Cooper walked two of the first three batters in the ninth.
The Cutters (8-10) finish the series at Brooklyn tonight before 3 games in State Island. They return home July 11 vs. Tri City.
