Mr. and Mrs. Michael J. Kriesher, Cogan Station, observed their 60th wedding anniversary July 5, 2012.
They were married at St. Casimir Catholic Church, Kulpmont. They are members of St. Boniface Catholic Church.
Mrs. Kriesher, the former Dorothy A. Stavinski, is a native of Kulpmont. She is the daughter of the late Alice and Stan Stavinski. She attended Kulpmont High School. She retired from Helmrich's Seafood, after a lifetime cooking career with various other eateries.

Mr. Kriesher, a native of Marion Heights, is the son of the late Verna and Michael Kriesher. He graduated from Kulpmont High School. He attended the former Williamsport Technical Institute, now Pennsylvania College of Technology. He served in the Navy, with tours in Alaska and Hawaii. He retired from the former Avco, now Textron Lycoming, after 35 years of service.
They are the parents of one son, Michael, Williamsport, and one daughter, Denise, Cogan Station.
There are three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
In honor of their anniversary, a family open house was held.
